Huge Waterfall

As you make your way through the forest and up the cliffs you start to see the waterfalls. You hear them first, loud rushes of crashing water.

There are some really nice ones and as you know i love waterfalls.

They cascade down the cliffs landing in pools at the bottem.

There is plenty to explore on the walk and is so much fun skipping across the rocks emerging from the streams.

Then once you make your way further the waterfalls get bigger and bigger until you reach this one! This huge waterfall cut away on the side of a cliff.

As i stand hear on this boulder i can hear nothing but the crashing of water on the rocks and the spray blowing from it. You can feel the power of nature.

Some brave people dare get this close but i'm fine wear i am. Centry's of erosion caused this waterfall to form and is the greatest one i've ever seen.

Penny tree

This is the penny tree. Started by an artist and added by many visitors the tree has been stuffed with copper coins. It gives the tree an odd metalic texture and feels like scales when you rub your hand over it.

I wonder how much this tree is worth?

Ingleborough 2009

Ingleborough

In 2009 i went to Ingleborough for the day. Ingleborough is a nice country side place in England and there was a nice Waterfall walk though the mountains and forests.

Was a georgeous day, the sun nice and warm as we set out on the estimated 4 hour treck through the forest. In the forest were:

 beautiful streams

... high cliffs and musical birds, its a really good hike for the adventourous.

London bridge and the Guerkin building

Here is the Guerkin building though its actual name is St. Mary's axe. Looks more of a Guerkin than an axe so i see the reason behind its nick name.

Ive always wanted to see this building as when ever you see panning shots above the city of London on TV this is the building that always stands out. I dont know what they do in it but its a great piece of architecture and looks beautiful with the light shinning on it.

I love how the clouds reflect on the surface of its shell.

Is a great building and glad we saw it.

Another fantastic building we saw on a boat trip down the Thames. London likes its creative architecture.

Finally we saw London bridge and the tower of London. We didn't think the tower of London was that impressive but London bridge was as great as i imagined. sitting in the middle of the river Thames.

Was great to walk over it and watch the ships go under its draw bridge. After this we had seen most of the sites and are trip to London was complete. Was a great experience and gave me a passion for site seeing that i never knew i had.

Millenium bridge

Here i am standing on millenium bridge which crosses over the river Thames. It has great views from every angle you look at it. Here infront of me is the famous St. Pauls Cathedrial.

Over that way you can see London bridge.

And this is Millenim bridge. Near it is also the tate modern art museam. i like art but i have to admit i wasnt impressed with the museam.

Not a statue but an actual guard. Must get hot in the Summer.

Buckingham Palace

Buckingham palace

This was probbly the most special part of the day. Visiting the home of the royal family and seeing the magnificent palace. It was a very big building and to think its someones house! Well she is the Queen.

I kept looking in the windows to see if i could see her but obviously i couldn't, as if she would be standing looking out of the window. Was very busy, the courtyard was full of people, i was suprised at how close you could actully get.

Much prettier gate then at downing street.

And heres me soaking in the culture at Buckingham palace.

Past the gate were these guards, they walked back and forth and stopped in there little huts. must be so boring doing that all day with hundreds of people watching you. He doesnt even look like he could protect the palace under attack. Maybe he's secretly a Ninja?

Every few hours they do the changing of the guard, a march of soliders march out of the palace playing trumpets. Its a bit dramatic but very british was fun to see. They all were wearing red uniforms and the iconic black fury hat, but this band werent the guards surely!

But they were behind them with the huge guns! Was a great display to see and the most enjoyable part of London for me. Was great to say I've finally seen these places.

Downing street

We walked past Downing street where Englands Primeminister lives. Was guarded by an iron gate and lots of police so couldn't really see it but was weird to think he was down there.

The police may not look much here guarding West minister and Downing street but they had some pretty huge guns. I wouldn't want to try climb the gate to downing street.

Theres one of the doors. Not amazing but yeh proves i was there.

Big Ben and the London eye

On are 2nd day of the short 4 day holiday we went site seeing. We got the tube from are hotel to the main city of west Minster. The tube was fun, so fast and when we emerged from the station we were in propper London. Right infront of us was the iconic 'Big Ben' and the west minister. Was a great looking building.

Its just attached onto the River Thames. Looks like an old church or castle, it had very detailed architecture and sculptures.

And if you turned round and looked over the bridge there was The London eye! We never went on it due to its exspense and the que but it was another great site to see.

We heard the iconic Bell go off inside the clock tower too.

BONG!

Looks pretty high doesnt it.
